Hasan enrolled in the TV and Film programme at the Lebanese American University in 2008, where hands-on coursework put him behind a camera from day one. The following year he shot his first short film as Director of Photography — the first of over sixty short films he would go on to shoot through 2019. He graduated in 2013 with a B.A. in Communication Arts (Radio/TV/Film).
While still at university he sought out every opportunity to deepen his craft, joining workshops at the Lebanese Film Club and the Lebanese Film Academy. In 2012 he completed a 90-day intensive internship at FAMU Film School in Prague. In 2015 he was selected for Berlinale Talents in Germany.
In 2014, alongside a group of passionate collaborators, Hasan shot his first feature film as an independent project. Funded by independent producers and carried by a team working out of belief in the film, the project went through years of post-production as everyone learned and grew together. It eventually screened in Lebanon and toured several festivals, earning strong recognition along the way.
He has also given back to the craft as an instructor, delivering cinematography and digital workflow workshops at the Lebanese Film Academy and the Beirut Film Institute. In 2019 he shot his first commercial feature films with Falcon Films; since then he has photographed seven features and nine television series for broadcasters across the Arab world. Today, he leads Fine Line Production and is actively exploring AI-powered creative work alongside his cinematography practice.
